Streaks & Challenges
A Streak is a multi-day race registration where you commit to running on consecutive days. You select a challenge, pick your distances for each day, sign your personal pledge at registration, and show up — day after day.
The Streak is the core MileBuilt experience. It is not just about the races. It is about the discipline of returning when it is hard, when you are tired, when you would rather not.
Core — at every event:
- 2-Day Challenge — 2-Day Streak only
- 3-Day Challenge — 3-Day Streak only
Select events only — confirm on RunSignup before registering:
- 4-Day Challenge — 4-Day Streak only
- 5-Day Challenge — 5-Day Streak only
Each challenge contains only its own Streak length. A 2-Day Streak is only within a 2-Day Challenge. Streaks do not cross-apply between challenges.
No. Each challenge contains only its own Streak length. A 2-Day Streak is available only within a 2-Day Challenge. If you register for a 3-Day Challenge, the Streak is the full 3 days — there is no shorter Streak option within a longer challenge.
If you want to run multiple days without committing to a full Streak, the Resolve path is available at 3-Day, 4-Day, and 5-Day Challenges.
Your Streak start date is selected at registration. Your commitment begins on day one of your challenge and runs through the final day. There is no other start option for a Streak registration.
Standalone and Resolve runners select their own individual race days at registration.
Your Streak is broken. There is no day-of policing — the commitment is between you and the pledge you signed. That is the point. The discipline has to come from you.
If your Streak is broken, you will not earn the tier patch. You are welcome to complete your remaining paid race days and receive daily finisher recognition for each one completed.
No. MileBuilt operates on soft enforcement. No day-of policing. No checkpoint verification. Your personal pledge is your commitment — to yourself, to the work, and to the version of you that shows up again tomorrow.
Built-in pricing that is part of your Streak registration. It is not a coupon, a sale, or a shortcut. It is a reward for committing to consecutive days — earned by the decision to return, not handed out at checkout. The longer your Streak, the deeper the reward built into your registration.
Specific amounts are shown in RunSignup at registration. Prices are not posted on the MileBuilt website.
Every Streak runner signs a personal pledge at registration. It is not a waiver. It is a commitment — to the work, to the distance, and to yourself.

Events & Distances
Core — at every event: 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, Marathon.
Select events only: 50K. TRANSFORM tier requires a 50K — confirm both on RunSignup before registering.
MileBuilt marathon events are official public races with a named race director, posted distances, designated race direction, common starts, official finish times, and published results.
Runners pursuing 50 States Marathon Club credit should verify current eligibility requirements directly with the club before registering.
MileBuilt events are official public races with a named race director, posted distances, designated race direction, common starts, official finish times, and published results.
Some runners participate while pursuing goals with outside clubs and resources such as Marathon Maniacs, 50 States Marathon Club, 100 Marathon Club of the Americas, Mega Marathon List, Half Fanatics, 50 States Half Marathon Club, and 100 Half Marathons Club.
MileBuilt does not determine or guarantee outside club eligibility. Runners are responsible for confirming current requirements directly with their club or organization before registering.
Not currently. MileBuilt events are built around completion, not chip-timed performance certification. Results are posted in hour and minute format only. USATF course certification is under consideration for future marathon distances.
Tiers & Patches
2-Day Challenge — by race combination:
- RETURN — Both races are 5K or 10K
- REPEAT — A short race paired with a Half Marathon or Marathon
- ENDURE — Both races are Half Marathon or Marathon
- TRANSFORM — Streak includes a 50K
3-Day, 4-Day, 5-Day Challenges — by longest race:
- RETURN — Longest race is no longer than a 10K
- REPEAT — Longest race is a Half Marathon
- ENDURE — Longest race is a Marathon
- TRANSFORM — Longest race is a 50K
Every runner earns a Daily Finisher Medallion for each race completed — Standalone, Resolve, or Streak.
Streak runners who complete their full challenge earn a Tier Patch (RETURN, REPEAT, ENDURE, or TRANSFORM). Your first earned patch is included — it comes with your completed Year 1 Streak, not as a separate purchase.
Standalone and Resolve runners receive daily finisher recognition only.
Yes. There is one patch per tier — no length variants. A 2-Day TRANSFORM finisher and a 5-Day TRANSFORM finisher earn the same TRANSFORM patch. The patch reflects your tier, not the length of your Streak. The commitment and the completion are what matter.
A patch earned by runners who return to the same MileBuilt event and complete a Streak in consecutive years — Year 2 and beyond. It operates on an honor-system. Unlike your first patch, the Multi-Year Streak Patch is not included — you earn the right to purchase it by coming back and completing another Streak.
Race Day
MileBuilt events are cupless — you carry your own hydration. Bring a handheld bottle, running vest, or waist pack. Aid stations provide water, an electrolyte drink, and basic snacks. That is it. For longer distances and multi-day participation, plan your own nutrition — gels, chews, electrolyte supplements, or whatever fueling strategy works for your distance. Do not rely on the aid station as your complete plan.
Dress and prepare for the weather. MileBuilt events run in Central Florida — heat and humidity are real factors, especially for longer distances and multi-day participation. Check conditions before race day and plan accordingly.
Yes. Bibs are available for pickup on race day — honor system, no ID required. A friend may pick up your bib on your behalf.
No bib transfers. Your bib is registered to you. Another runner may not race under your bib number.
MileBuilt events are cupless. There are no disposable cups at aid stations. You are responsible for carrying your own fluids — via handheld bottle, vest, or waist pack. Aid stations provide water, an electrolyte drink, and basic snacks. Plan for the distance. Carry what you need.
MileBuilt operates on a 9-hour race day cutoff with a 30-minute grace period — 9.5 hours total. This applies to the full race day, not per distance. Runners still on course after the cutoff window will be directed off course.
Course support is at the start/finish line only. If your vehicle is parked along the course, you may access it as needed for personal supplies. Plan your hydration and nutrition accordingly for your full distance.
The use of personal music devices is strongly discouraged at MileBuilt events. MileBuilt operates on public trails — be aware of your surroundings at all times.
Pets and strollers are strongly discouraged on course. MileBuilt events take place on public trails where other users may be present. If you choose to bring either, you are fully responsible for the safety of yourself and others.
Timing & Results
MileBuilt uses old-school completion timing — not chip timing. There are no timing mats, no RFID chips, no apps.
When you finish: cross the finish line, strike the GONG, pull a numbered MileBuilt Finish Ticket from the dispenser, and record your ticket number, bib number, completed distance, and the hour and minute shown on the race clock in the MileBuilt Finish Ledger. Drop the ticket in the finish box. That is your official finish record.
A numbered ticket you pull from the dispenser after striking the GONG. The number marks your finish order for that race day. Take it directly to the Finish Ledger table, record your ticket number, bib number, distance completed, and race clock time, then drop the ticket in the finish box. That is your official finish record.
No. Times are posted in hour and minute format only. Seconds are not recorded, rounded, or posted. Prefer exact seconds? A GPS watch or chest strap will serve you well.
MileBuilt is not built for optimized race conditions or chip-timed personal records. If you PR here anyway and show up again the next morning, that says something about you.
Results are posted for completion tracking. MileBuilt is not a chip-timed performance certification course.
Changes & Deferrals
Change requests must be submitted more than 10 days before your first race day and are subject to race director approval. Requests submitted within 10 days are outside the change window.
- Eligible downgrades before deadline: MileBuilt credit for the difference — not a cash refund
- Upgrades before deadline: allowed if space and logistics permit; you pay the difference
- Within 10 days: no refund or credit
All requests outside the change standard are at the race director's discretion.
Full details on The Standard page.
Yes — with conditions. Deferrals must be requested more than 10 days before your first race day. One deferral per registration. Valid for 12 months from your original event date. Unused deferrals are forfeited.
- Same distance — straight transfer to a future event
- Shorter distance — difference forfeited, no credit
- Longer distance — you pay the difference
- Streak deferral — same tier transfers as-is; you pay the difference if prices have increased
All deferral requests outside this standard are at the race director's discretion.
No. Streak recognition is based on the full consecutive challenge you registered for and completed. Partial completion does not convert into a shorter Streak. If your Streak is broken, you will not earn the tier patch — but you may complete your remaining paid race days and receive daily finisher recognition for each one.
The Streak Commitment Reward is earned by completing the distances you committed to — not by signing up for them.
Your tier is recalculated based on the distances you actually completed — not the distances you registered for. A voluntary drop-down that changes your tier means you lose the higher-tier patch. Built-in Streak pricing is not refunded.
There is no gaming the system: you cannot register at TRANSFORM pricing and voluntarily drop the 50K to a Marathon while keeping TRANSFORM recognition. The patch reflects what you ran.
Your registration reserved capacity and event resources. Before the deadline, MileBuilt credit may be issued for eligible downgrades — but cash refunds are not issued. This is consistent with the bare-bones operating model.
The Standard
MileBuilt is no-nonsense. The payoff is in the work. Shirts and race bags are not the point. The Daily Finisher Medallion and the tier patch are earned — not handed out. Every operational decision is made to keep the focus where it belongs — on the runner and the work you came to do.
The website explains the challenge. RunSignup shows the final registration price based on event, distance, and category. Keeping prices in RunSignup prevents the brand from becoming a price-comparison experience and keeps the focus on the commitment — not the cost.
No finisher shirts. No race bags. No promotional extras. No festival atmosphere. Cupless format. Manual old-school timing. Small events. Focused operations.
Bare-bones does not mean low-quality. It means every operational decision is made to keep the focus where it belongs — on the runner and the work you came to do.
MileBuilt relies on volunteers to support check-in, the course, aid station operations, finish-line flow, and event breakdown. Volunteers earn race credit based on verified hours completed per event.
Earning credits: 2 hours = 0.5 credit · 4 hours = 1 credit · 6 hours = 1.5 credits · 8 hours = 2 credits · 10 hours = 2.5 credits.
Redeeming credits: 1 credit = future MileBuilt 5K or 10K entry · 2 credits = any future single-day race up to 50K · 4+ credits = may be applied toward a multi-day Challenge registration.
Credits may be combined across events. Eligibility depends on verified hours, assigned role, event needs, race availability, and future registration options. Full details on the Crew Up page.
